The Canes were quick out of the block and on attack, after about 30 min the Highlanders started featuring and turned the tables. The daily Times headlined: Highlanders Grind Out Narrow Win. The Canes tried to make a comeback in the end, but the Highlander's defensive was solid and they managed to hang on for the win. Then in at Suncorp Stadium the Reds and the Blues gave each other a go...The Reds came out with loads of speed, they dominated possession and caused the Blues to make curtail mistakes. But the Blues fought back and within a few minutes reached the try-line twice. After the break they were still giving it a shot...until the Reds got ball in hand and secured yet another bonus point victory! The Chiefs put of a huge fight when they hosted the Stormers. The Stormers came out with a bang having a 17 point lead but this quickly changed when the Chiefs put up a performance in the 2nd half, that took the game away from the Stormers. SuperSport ran with this headline 2nd half Nigh-Mare Sinks Stormers. Well Gavin I'm happy I didn't take poison on the Stormers winning this game at halftime, but my Superbru took a knock...Then in Canberra the Brumbies were in for a major upset against the Lions.
